PMW Leadworks

Leadwork can be used in a variety of ways to not only secure a structure from the elements, but also to add character and beauty to a building. Some of the ways that we use lead are described below.

Chimney Flashings.
Lead flashings are used to stop water getting in at the junction between the chimney and the roof.

Lead flashings are also used at abutments where roofs meet external walls.

Roofing.
Lead is also used for roofing and can be used on flat, pitched and curved roofs. Lead can also be used as a vertical cladding and is used on dormer window cheeks.

Decoration.
As well as being a practical building material, lead can also be used as a decorative feature. Just adding some simple scallops can make leadwork more appealing to the eye.
